To earn a spot in the exclusive Non Pro Challenge, riders must first compete at one of the Semi-Finals qualifying events held throughout the United States and Europe. Riders placing in the Top Five at those events advance to the Semi-Finals, which is held in conjunction with the 6666 Ranch National Reining Horse Association Derby presented by Markel, scheduled for June in Oklahoma City.
From there, the top 30 riders from the Non Pro Semi-Finals, along with additional qualifiers from other continents, advance to The Run For A Million. The clean-slate format ensures that every rider enters the event on equal footing, reinforcing the focus on performance in the moment rather than prior earnings or reputation.
