Three roads to The Run For A Million

Every class fills its field one of three ways: qualify through the season, enter as a member, or ride on an invitation.

01 • Qualify Your Way In

Ten classes fill their fields through the season.

Million Dollar Competition

Limited to 16 riders who qualified at one of three events in the 2025 to 2026 show season: 2025 The Run For A Million, Las Vegas, Nevada (5 riders), 2025 Equita Lyon, Lyon, France (1 rider), and the 2026 Bosque Ranch Shootout (10 riders). Only nine qualifiers advance from the qualifier; Fernando Salgado, who was unable to compete in 2025, is the 16th rider.

Limited to 15 riders, an increase from 10, who qualified at the 2025 Brazos Bash.

Limited to 15 riders who qualified at the 2026 Winter Bash.

Limited to 15 riders who qualified at one of three events in the 2025 to 2026 show season: the National Stock Horse Association Pre-Futurity in Las Vegas (5 riders), the NRCHA Stallion Stakes (5 riders), and the NRCHA Derby (5 riders).

Invites the top ten finalists from the 2026 Western Bloodstock World's Greatest Youth Horseman to compete in Las Vegas in August.

The twenty-roper field is set through Premier Women's Rodeo's program: eight invited champions plus qualifiers on aggregate from the Hamilton LCQ and the PWR Championship in Fort Worth.

The reining challenges share one road

For the Non Pro, Rookie 1, Rookie 2, and Youth Reining Challenges, the qualifying period for the 2026 TRFAM runs through May 31, 2026. Riders first compete at approved host events, with the top five from each slate advancing to the Semi-Finals, held in conjunction with the 2026 6666 NRHA Derby presented by Markel. From there, the top riders in each class qualify to compete at the 2026 TRFAM in Las Vegas.

Three things to lock in early

Once the qualifying is done, the logistics start. Entries, stalls, and rooms all run through the show office and the South Point.
