Bosque Ranch hosts two runs that send riders straight to Las Vegas: the Non Pro Qualifier on Wednesday and The Qualifier on Saturday. Every maneuver matters. Every decision counts.

The Qualifier

10 Qualifiers • Million Dollar Reining • Ties Run Off

Ten riders earn their place in the Million Dollar Reining at the 2027 The Run For A Million in Las Vegas. Any ties that would advance more than ten riders will be run off.

Top 30 • The Shootout • New For 2027

The top 30 riders in The Qualifier also qualify for The Shootout at the 2027 TRFAM, and each qualified rider may show up to three horses there.

Entries close Friday, May 21 at noon. Paid warm-ups for Open Qualifier riders run Thursday and Friday in the Reining Arena. Gates open to ticket holders at 10AM on Saturday.

The Non Pro Qualifier

Top 10 • Non Pro Challenge • No Ties

The top 10 Non Pro riders (no ties) qualify straight to the Non Pro Challenge at the 2027 The Run For A Million in Las Vegas, without competing at the Semi-Finals at the 2027 NRHA Derby.

Next 10 Plus Ties • Semi-Finals

The next ten Non Pros plus ties qualify directly for the Semi-Finals at the 2027 6666 NRHA Derby presented by Markel. See the full 2027 Qualification Process for every other road to the Semi-Finals.

Non Pro paid warm-ups run Tuesday, May 18 from 7AM to 3PM, followed by the riders meeting at 3:15PM.

New For 2027

The Shootout now runs through The Qualifier

For the first time, it will be necessary to qualify for The Shootout at The Run For A Million. The top 30 riders in The Qualifier earn that spot, and each qualified rider may show up to three horses in The Shootout.

The top five riders in The Shootout at the 2027 TRFAM qualify for the 2028 The Run For A Million. Ties will be run off.

The Week At Bosque Ranch

Eight days, two runs that count

Move in Saturday, school through the week, and run when it matters. The full schedule, with arena maintenance and every open riding block, is in the printable PDF.

May 15Saturday

Move-in begins Noon

Horse move-in begins at noon. The Reining Arena and warm-up arenas open for riding once you are in.

May 16Sun & Mon

Open riding 7AM

Sunday and Monday follow the same rhythm: arena maintenance from 6AM to 7AM, open riding in the Reining and warm-up arenas from 7AM, a maintenance break at 5PM, then open riding again.

May 18Tuesday

Non Pro paid warm-ups 7AM To 3PM

Non Pro paid warm-ups in the Reining Arena from 7AM to 3PM. Riders meeting at 3:15PM. Reining and warm-up arenas reopen for open riding at 4PM.

May 19Wednesday

The Non Pro Qualifier 4PM

Open riding from 7AM to 3PM, arena maintenance at 3PM, and the Non Pro Qualifier at 4PM. Pattern 9, drag on 5. Open riding resumes after the class.

May 20Thursday

Open Qualifier paid warm-ups 7AM To 2PM • 4PM To 8PM

Two paid warm-up sessions for Open Qualifier riders in the Reining Arena, with open riding in between and again from 8PM.

May 21Friday

Entries close Noon

Paid warm-ups for Open Qualifier riders from 7AM to 11AM and 3PM to 6PM. Entries for the Open Qualifier close at noon. Outside the paid sessions the Reining Arena is open to Open Qualifier riders only.

May 22Saturday

The Qualifier 11AM

Arenas open to Open Qualifier riders from 7AM to 10AM. Gates open at 10AM to ticket holders, riders, staff, owners, guests and sponsors. The Qualifier runs at 11AM in the Reining Arena. Pattern 9, drag on 5.

Admission through Friday is limited to riders, staff, owners, guests and sponsors. Saturday, May 22 opens to ticket holders at 10AM.

Before You Haul

Four things to lock in early

Entries, stalls, rooms and releases all run through the show office. Get them done before you load the trailer.

01 • Enter

File your entry

Both qualifiers enter through the official form, which is not open yet. It will go live ahead of the event. Open Qualifier entries close Friday, May 21 at noon.

02 • Stable

Reserve your stalls

Stalls at Bosque Ranch book through the show. Every horse on the grounds must have a stall.

03 • Stay

Book your room

Host hotels are in and around Weatherford. Book early, since the week fills fast.

Health Requirements

Horses attending from out of state must have a current Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) issued within 30 days (or 14 days if from a vesicular stomatitis state) and a negative Coggins test within 12 months.

Horses attending from in state must have a negative Coggins test within 12 months.

On The Grounds

Bosque Ranch is a private facility. Parking is not located next to the arena, so riders, owners and guests should expect to walk across dirt, grass and gravel to reach the show grounds.
