MS Diamonds TX by Sleipnir has once again returned to The Run For A Million to present the owner of the Million Dollar Competition champion horse with the eventโs championship ring, a piece designed by MS Diamonds owner Oded Fein specifically to represent one of reiningโs most coveted victories.
โOne of the most important things is to recognize the owners. Everybody knows the horse, everybody knows the trainers, but nobody knows who the owners are, and the industry is based on the owners. Without the owners, you have nothing,โ Fein said.
The 2026 trophy ring is an impressive piece of craftsmanship, featuring 121 diamonds totaling 9.83 carats and weighing 40 grams. Like the championship itself, the ring is meant to make a statement.
Fein and MS Diamonds have been part of The Run For A Million since the event’s inaugural year in 2019. For that first Million Dollar Competition, MS Diamonds created a one-of-a-kind championship ring highlighted by a yellow diamond for the owner of the winning horse. Through the years, the design has continued to develop while the ring itself has become one of the recognizable symbols of winning at The Run For A Million.
The partnership is a natural fit for Fein, whose ties to reining reach well beyond the jewelry business. A horseman and longtime supporter of the sport, Fein has made championship rings an important part of some of reining’s most prestigious events.
His work with the National Reining Horse Association began with a vision to give reining champions something comparable to the championship rings associated with major professional sports.
โIt means a lot, because this is something that goes from generation to generation. A horseโs time will pass, but the legend stays. This ring is something that can stay in the family โ jewelry and diamonds get passed from generation to generation for years,โ Fein said. โThis is something that will always stay with them. When somebody wears this, and people ask, โWhat is this?โ they have the story, so itโs a big deal.โ
Fein approaches those rings differently than simply placing an event logo on a piece of jewelry. His designs incorporate details from the western and reining worlds.
โWe put a lot of symbols on the design. You can see a camera lens, a spinning horse, 12 riders. Itโs very important to have a championship ring for an event like this,โ Fein said.
That same combination of fine jewelry, horses, and championship tradition has made the MS Diamonds ring a fitting part of The Run For A Million.
On Saturday night at the South Point Arena and Equestrian Center in Las Vegas, 16 of the sport’s top riders will compete for the $1 million purse. When the championship is decided, the owner of the winning horse will leave Las Vegas with something that cannot be won anywhere else โ The Run For A Million championship ring.
