Private/Social Media Photographer Policy
Read it before you apply. The application requires you to acknowledge each of its terms.
The Run For A Million, Inc., collectively "TRFAM," maintains a strict Private/Social Media Photographer Policy "Policy." The purpose of this Policy is to establish clear guidelines regarding the use of private photographers, social media photographers, videographers, content creators, social media platforms, and live broadcasting technologies in connection with TRFAM events, and to protect TRFAM's intellectual property.
As used herein, the "Event" is the 2026 The Run For A Million event to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada, August 11–15, 2026.
If you have any questions regarding this Policy, please contact Savannah Magoteaux, Assistant Show Manager, at [email protected].
With the rise of live-reporting and live-streaming capabilities through platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, Snapchat, TikTok, and others, this Policy serves as a reminder and framework to ensure fair and appropriate practices. It applies to all photography, videography, advertising, promotional content, and social media activity associated with the Event, as well as any other use of TRFAM's intellectual property.
The Run For A Million, Inc., as owner of the TRFAM brand, logos, trademarks, and service marks, including but not limited to "THE RUN FOR A MILLION®" and its logo, is required to, and will, protect its intellectual property against unauthorized uses and infringements.
Eligibility Requirement
Private/Social Media Credential applicants must be at least 18 years of age and must represent established photography, videography, media, social media management, marketing, or content creation business.
TRFAM will not approve Private/Social Media Credentials for minors, casual spectators, hobby photographers, fan pages, or individuals seeking access for personal use only. Approval is granted at the sole discretion of TRFAM.
Credential Categories
TRFAM recognizes separate credential categories for Press Media and Private/Social Media Credential Holders. Approval for one category does not guarantee approval for the other, and each category is subject to separate review and approval by TRFAM.
For purposes of this Policy, "Press Media" refers to approved editorial, news, or broadcast media representatives covering the Event for a recognized publication, media outlet, news organization, or broadcast platform. Press Media credentials are issued at the sole discretion of TRFAM and do not require payment of the Private/Social Media Credential fee.
For purposes of this Policy, "Private/Social Media Credential Holder" includes any photographer, videographer, content creator, social media manager, digital media representative, marketing agency, social media management company, brand representative, or other individual capturing photo or video content for private, promotional, client-based, commercial, rider, owner, sponsor, brand, business, or personal social media use.
All approved Private/Social Media Credential Holders are required to purchase an individual credential. The credential fee is $1,000 per person. This fee applies to each individual credential holder, regardless of whether the individual is applying independently or as part of a company, media outlet, agency, social media management team, brand, sponsor, rider, owner, or other organization.
Each credential is issued to one individual only and may not be shared, transferred, loaned, sold, or reassigned. Every person capturing photo or video content under the Private/Social Media Credential program must possess their own approved credential.
Application Requirements
All individuals requesting Private/Social Media Credentials must complete the credential application process and receive written approval from TRFAM prior to the Event.
Each applicant must provide a clear, current headshot with their application. The headshot must accurately identify the applicant and may be used by TRFAM staff, security, production personnel, and event management to verify the credential holder throughout the Event.
Credentials are issued to individuals only and may not be shared, transferred, loaned, sold, or reassigned for any reason.
Dual Credential Use
If an applicant is seeking credentials, or intends to capture content, in more than one capacity, including but not limited to working as both Press Media and a Private/Social Media Credential Holder, the applicant must disclose all intended uses of the content during the application process.
Any individual who is approved to work in any private, promotional, client-based, commercial, rider, owner, sponsor, brand, business, or personal social media capacity must pay the Private/Social Media Credential fee, regardless of whether that individual is also approved as Press Media.
If an individual is acting in both a Press Media capacity and a Private/Social Media capacity, the individual will be subject to the stricter restrictions, access limitations, content-use requirements, and conduct standards set forth in the Private/Social Media Photographer Policy.
TRFAM reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine whether an applicant's intended coverage qualifies as Press Media, Private/Social Media coverage, or dual-use coverage. Failure to accurately disclose the intended use of captured content may result in denial of credentials, revocation of credentials, removal from the Event, denial of future credential applications, and any other remedy available to TRFAM.
Production Restrictions and Limited Access Areas
The Run For A Million is a live event, a major Western performance horse competition, and a production environment. In addition to the TRFAM Digital Media Team and TRFAM Official Photographers, the Event includes filming for The Last Cowboy television series and the CBS broadcast team, which will air coverage of the Event on August 22, 2026.
Because of these production components, certain areas that may normally be available to photographers, videographers, media, or social media teams at other events may be restricted or completely off limits at The Run For A Million.
Credentialed access does not guarantee access to all production areas, competition areas, warmup areas, back gates, arena gates, platforms, interviews, barns, concourses, staging areas, or any other location within the venue. TRFAM reserves the right to restrict, modify, or revoke access to any area at any time in order to protect the safety of competitors, horses, attendees, staff, production personnel, and the integrity of the Event and its broadcast.
All Private/Social Media Credential Holders must immediately comply with any instruction from TRFAM staff, South Point staff, security, the TRFAM Production Team, the TRFAM Digital Media Team, TRFAM Official Photographers, the Truly Original Production Team, CBS production personnel, or any other authorized Event representative.
Grant of License
At any time, TRFAM, its officers, employees, contractors, or agents may request content captured during the Event for use in connection with the TRFAM website, marketing materials, advertising, public relations, broadcast promotion, or social media platforms.
Such content must be provided to TRFAM upon request without watermarks, and no fees may be charged for use of the content by TRFAM. By providing such content, the content creator grants TRFAM, its affiliates, and licensees an irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual, and transferable license to use, modify, reproduce, distribute, publicly display, and exploit the content in any media now known or hereafter devised, throughout the universe, and for any lawful purpose, without any further compensation or limitation.
The content creator agrees to enter into any further agreement, including a license agreement, with TRFAM as necessary or desirable to effect the purposes hereof.
Content Standards and Photo Review
All Private/Social Media Credential Holders are responsible for reviewing all photos, videos, captions, posts, stories, reels, livestreams, and other content before publication or distribution.
By accepting a credential, the credential holder agrees not to publish, post, sell, distribute, or otherwise use any photo, video, or content that, in TRFAM's sole discretion, portrays TRFAM, the Event, the Western performance horse industry, competitors, horses, owners, sponsors, vendors, staff, production teams, attendees, the venue, or the sport in a negative, misleading, embarrassing, unsafe, or unfavorable light.
This includes, but is not limited to, content where the primary subject may appear acceptable, but another person, horse, sponsor display, staff member, attendee, or background element appears unsafe, unflattering, inappropriate, misleading, or damaging to the Event or industry.
TRFAM reserves the right to request the removal of any content that violates this Policy. Failure to remove such content upon request may result in revocation of credentials, removal from the Event, denial of future credential applications, and any other remedy available to TRFAM.
Logo Use
All photos and video content captured at the Event must include a visible watermark identifying the individual, group, company, or media outlet responsible for the content. If the content features a competitor or horse owner, their logo may also be added at the creator's discretion.
Use of the official TRFAM logo is allowed only with prior approval from TRFAM and may not be used in any way that implies endorsement, sponsorship, partnership, or official status unless expressly authorized in writing by TRFAM.
It is strictly prohibited to alter, obscure, cover, blur, remove, crop out, or "greek" any official sponsor logos, signage, or branding associated with TRFAM in any photo, video, livestream, social media post, or other media content. Any tampering with or removal of sponsor visibility will be considered a violation of this Policy and may result in legal action, removal from the Event, revocation of media credentials, and/or denial of future credential applications.
Main Arena Seating
During any public-facing events held in the Main Arena, an individual, group, company, or media outlet may not reserve, block, rope off, or otherwise restrict seating within the arena.
For the purposes of this Policy, "roping off" refers to any action that designates seats as unavailable to others through the use of physical barriers, including but not limited to ropes, tape, signage, bags, camera equipment, tripods, personal belongings, verbal claims, or any other method used to restrict public access to general seating.
The use of personal tables, workstations, equipment cases, bags, or other items that block access in the seating area is also prohibited.
Separately, interfering in any way with members of the TRFAM Digital Media Team, TRFAM Official Photographers, the TRFAM Production Team, the Truly Original Production Team, CBS production personnel, or any other authorized production personnel, including obstructing movement, blocking camera lines, interfering with equipment, or disrupting active filming or photography, is strictly prohibited and will be considered a violation of this Policy.
Concourse, Main Arena
No individual, group, company, or media outlet may obstruct access to or hinder the ability of any attendee to watch public events or ticketed events in the Main Arena. This includes, but is not limited to, actions that block aisles, walkways, viewing areas, entrances, exits, ADA areas, or any other areas designated for public movement or public access.
No individual, group, company, or media outlet may block, rope off, reserve, or restrict any accessible areas within the Main Arena or concourse. This includes all areas designated for ADA access, general public seating, public viewing, and public movement. The restriction applies to physical barriers such as ropes, tape, signs, personal belongings, camera equipment, tripods, verbal claims, or any other means used to limit access to these areas.
The use of personal tables, workstations, equipment setups, or other items in the concourse is prohibited unless expressly authorized in writing by TRFAM.
Main Arena Gates and Warmup Areas
No individual, group, company, or media outlet may obstruct, stand in, or gather at the North or South Gates during public events or ticketed events in the Main Arena.
This includes blocking access or standing in areas designated for ingress and egress of competitors, horses, staff, production personnel, or emergency personnel.
No individual, group, company, or media outlet may stand on the platforms at either set of gates. These platforms are designated for the TRFAM Production Team, the Truly Original Production Team, CBS production personnel, the TRFAM Digital Media Team, and other authorized Event personnel only. Standing on these platforms is prohibited, as it may interfere with competitors, production, event operations, or safety.
No Private/Social Media Credential Holder is allowed to shoot, film, livestream, interview, stage content, or gather content in the back gate or warmup arenas unless expressly approved in writing by TRFAM.
Barn Access
Private/Social Media Credential Holders may be allowed to take photos in the barn areas for use on social media platforms, provided they have received the appropriate credential and barn access approval.
Wristbands for barn access may be requested and are granted on a case-by-case basis. Barn access is not guaranteed and may be limited or revoked at any time.
Any content gathered in the barn area must be respectful of competitors, horses, owners, trainers, staff, and private conversations.
Credential holders must not interfere with members of the TRFAM Production Team, TRFAM Digital Media Team, TRFAM Official Photographers, the Truly Original Production Team, CBS production personnel, competitors, horses, owners, trainers, staff, or any other authorized personnel.
Credential Usage
Private/Social Media Credentials allow access to ticketed performances for purposes of entry only. A Private/Social Media Credential does not provide a reserved seat. Only reserved seat tickets will grant the credential holder a seat for the competition.
A Private/Social Media Credential does not grant access to the CINCH Saloon or the private concert on Saturday evening.
Credentials must be worn and visible at all times during the Event. Credentials may not be given, loaned, shared, sold, transferred, or reassigned to another person for any reason. Failure to adhere to this requirement may result in the loss of credentials for all parties involved.
Any individual, whether credentialed or not, who interferes with the competitive flow, operations, production, broadcast, photography, videography, safety, or any aspect of the Event, including the ability of the TRFAM Production Team, TRFAM Official Photographers, TRFAM Digital Media Team, TRFAM officers, employees, agents, the Truly Original Production Team, CBS production personnel, or any other authorized Event representative to properly capture photos, video, or perform their duties, may be required to immediately leave the Event, including during awards ceremonies.
TRFAM reserves the right to revoke credentials at any time for violation of this Policy, failure to follow instructions, unsafe conduct, interference with the Event, or any conduct deemed by TRFAM to be inappropriate or inconsistent with the best interests of the Event.
Insurance
For the period starting August 1, 2026, and continuing for one year thereafter, you shall maintain in force adequate workers' compensation, commercial general liability, and professional liability insurance, including errors and omissions coverage, in each case with insurers reasonably acceptable to TRFAM, with policy limits sufficient to protect and indemnify TRFAM and its affiliates, and each of their officers, directors, agents, employees, subsidiaries, partners, members, controlling persons, successors, and assigns, from any losses resulting from your acts or omissions or the acts or omissions of your agents, contractors, servants, or employees.
In the case of commercial general liability insurance, you agree to maintain limits of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 in the aggregate.
The Run For A Million, Inc., Pro Management, Inc., South Point Hotel & Casino, and South Point Arena and Equestrian Center shall be listed as additional insured under such policy. You shall forward a certificate of insurance verifying such insurance no later than end of day August 1.
Such certificate shall indicate that the insurance policies may not be canceled before the expiration of a 30-calendar-day notification period and that TRFAM will be immediately notified in writing of any notice of termination.
