Twenty of breakaway roping's best have earned their place at the $50,000-Added Showcase under the lights of the South Point — The Run For A Million's newest Western performance event.
The road to the inaugural Breakaway Showcase ran through Texas. Ten ropers earned their tickets on aggregate at the Hamilton LCQ, and two more advanced from the PWR Championship in Fort Worth. Together with eight invited champions, they form the 20-woman field that ropes for $50,000 added at the South Point this August.
The Run For A Million — the premier event in the Western performance horse industry — expands its competitive lineup in 2026 with the $50,000-Added Breakaway Roping Showcase, presented by Shorty's Caboy Hattery in partnership with Premier Women's Rodeo. The Showcase highlights the explosive growth in popularity of rodeo's fastest event, bringing many of the sport's top female athletes to one of the most prestigious stages in Western sports.
Partnering with Premier Women's Rodeo allows us to introduce one of the fastest-growing events in rodeo to The Run For A Million audience. Breakaway roping has captured tremendous fan interest, and we are proud to welcome these outstanding athletes.
