Starting off the final day of competition here at The Run For A Million was the Youth Reining Challenge presented by Bloomer Trailers. With 33 entries, McKenna Sparrow and CS Sailing Gun slid their way to the top.
After selling her horse just a few weeks ago McKenna Sparrow, was able to find another horse to use for The Run For A Million. Vicki and Steve Sandvig were generous enough to let her borrow CS Sailing Gun to compete on here in Las Vegas. Going into the show with about 15 rides together, “I was pretty confident, he is a very nice horse, I was very lucky to be able to ride him here.”
“The whole thing was awesome, he was just amazing” McKenna said. The pair scored a 220 to secure the top spot in todays Youth Challenge. During the Buckle Ceremony presented by Bloomer Trailers, McKayla collected an impressive array of prizes: a check for $7,500, a Bob’s Custom Saddle, a Gist Silversmiths buckle, a Cuttinup Show Blankets authentic blanket, and several other awards from TRFAM.
CS Sailing Gun is a 2017 gelding by Gunners Enterprise out of La Bigia Sailor.
